Basildonはロンドンの東,、エセックスにある28mW/56MWh蓄電所。2024年初めに着工、2025年初めにCOD予定。
より多くの再生可能エネルギー発電を可能にし、英国の系統強化に重要な柔軟性を付与。
2050年までにネットゼロを達成するために、英国政府は2035年までに電力システムの脱炭素化を約束。蓄電所は、このネットゼロへ重要な役割を担い、再生可能エネルギー由来の電力を貯蔵し、最もニーズの高い時間帯に放出すると同時に、電力の需要と供給のバランスを秒単位で調整。
