At Eku, we take community engagement and benefits sharing seriously. We want to ensure that our Williamsdale BESS grants program can support a broad range of initiatives that can deliver long-lasting, positive impacts for surrounding communities.
Through ongoing community engagement, we have co-designed the following Investment Principles to guide the program design. We welcome applications that support or are in-line with the following:
[A] Employment and education: Initiatives that support educational or employment outcomes (e.g. literacy; numeracy; science, technology, engineering and maths).

[C] Environmental: Initiatives that support or drive sustainability and environmental outcomes.
Eku Energy is a global battery storage business on a mission. We’re working across the full project life cycle to develop, build, and manage energy storage assets with the aim of advancing the energy transition and facilitating the delivery of safe, secure, reliable clean energy worldwide.
We combine deep global expertise in energy and financial markets with specialist technical capabilities, including origination, development, system design, power markets and software optimisation. We are active in the UK, Australia, Italy and Japan.
The size and scale of our vision means we must act with courage and drive. We seek new ways of doing things, solving problems and acting decisively to secure a sustainable energy future for us all.
We strive to achieve zero harm to our people, assets and the communities around us. Our absolute priority is creating a safe working environment.
We can’t do this alone. Our success depends on our ability to build lasting, trusted relationships with each other, our stakeholders and the communities we operate in. Together we will deliver innovative solutions that make a positive impact on the world.

Much like grid battery storage systems that stabilise and optimise energy flow, our diverse team is the key to achieving balance and efficiency across our organisation. Every decision we make reflects our commitment to empowering and valuing our people, because they drive our success.
In the UK we are proud to be a Disability Confident employer. Disability Confident is a government scheme designed to create a movement of change, encouraging employers to think differently about disability and take action to improve how they recruit, retain and develop disabled people.
