Dr Georgette Banham FCIPD FCITP is the CHRO of Eku Energy, a globally diversified and technology enabled energy storage business. Georgette leads the overall human resources strategy, global talent acquisition, leadership and employee development, diversity and inclusion initiatives as well as organisational design and cultural development.
As a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel Development with over 25 years of experience, Georgette is a highly accomplished and results oriented international HR professional. She is recognised for HR leadership, industrial relations management and achieving outcomes in complex and challenging environments within the international engineering industry sector. Georgette has developed and led interventions across a range of both business and human resource management principles and good practices to deliver fit for purpose management structures. During her career, she has built a reputation for operational excellence, innovative strategic thinking as well as working with the highest level of integrity, and a deep and passionate commitment.
Prior to Eku Energy, Georgette spent the last ten years as a Board Member of Hitachi Zosen Inova UK Limited where she was responsible and accountable for corporate shared services operations, profit and loss ownership, risk management as well as compliance and business controls across the business. Taking on the role of HR Director for the Energy from Waste Business Unit at Hitachi Zosen Inova AG covering the UK, Switzerland, UAE, Turkey and Russia, Georgette successfully directed and managed senior team facilitation, leadership development, succession planning, coaching and mentoring. During her time as President of the UK based employer representative, Engineering Construction Industry Association, as well as taking part in National Wage negotiation, Georgette led the initiative of good practice guides covering industrial relations, collaboration and workforce engagement. Earlier in her career she had responsibilities for multiple IT Management implementations including two integrated management systems (ISO45001, ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO 27001).
Georgette holds a Doctorate in Business Administration specialising in Knowledge Management for project teams from the University of Surrey, a MSc in Network Management from Sheffield Hallam University and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Northumbria. She is a Chartered Fellow at the Chartered Institute for IT and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Georgette is a Certified ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, CQI IRCA and holds a Certificate in Organisational Design from Cornell University.
Holding an accredited Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Henley Business School, Georgette is passionate about connecting with people and enjoys building relationships to create environments that support and foster trust, productivity and collaboration within teams.
